For the twenty-fourth Weezer Song of the Day, I chose Turn Me Round, which was finally released as part of Raditude.  On the Japanese and International releases of Raditude Turn Me Round is track number 11.  In the US, it is an Amazon.com exclusive.  

Turn Me Round:

I have not seen Turn Me Round performed live.  According to Setlist.fm it has only been played live once in 2002.  

Turn Me Round was an early demo for album five, but did not make the cut for Make Believe.  I think it's better than 3 or 4 songs on that album.  It was finally included in Raditude, on which it is better than most of the rest of the record.

Turn Me Round is a song about getting the love you want and then realizing they are "a pain in the ass" after a year. The rocking chorus makes this song in my book.  There's a good guitar solo to boot!

Project Info: 

So why did I create this blog?  To document my Weezer Song Project.  Over the next year, I am going to attempt to listen to every...EVERY Weezer song recorded.  All the album tracks and b-sides will be easy, but there are some unreleased songs that may or not be accessible.  Hopefully, the search (and destroy) will be fun to follow.  At the moment, the list has 214 songs!  My list includes You Gave Your Love to me Softly, Longtime Sunshine, Turn Me Round, Getting Up and Leaving, Waiting on You, and Back to the Shack.  We learned early this year that a new Weezer record is on the way and we got to hear Back to the Shack twice on the Weezer Cruise II.
