The Paul Loves Weezer Project - Song 28 Love is the Answer

Weezer's Spring Tour is on hold until the end of May.  Check the front page of Weezerpedia.com and Weezertix.com for the details.

Here is the Vyclone video of El Scorcho from The Ryman in Nashville!

If you have the opportunity to do this, you should definitely participate!

For the twenty-eighth Weezer Song of the Day, I chose Love is the Answer, which was in the running to be included on Make Believe, but eventually found its way onto Raditude.  It features Amrita Sen on vocals and a Sitar.  Sugar Ray also recorded the song!  There are several Weezer versions and remixes floating around.

Love is the Answer by Sugar Ray with Rivers on Accompanying Vocals:

I have not seen Love is the Answer performed live, because according to Setlist.fm it has never been played live by Weezer.

Love is the Answer is a beautiful, moving song about love in the vein of The Beatles All you Need is Love.  This is one of the very few songs where the philosophy of Hinduism and Buddhism comes through in Rivers' lyrics.  The Indian sound of the song adds to the mysticism, as well.  I think John Lennon would be proud.

The Sugar Ray version featuring Rivers is more of a rock song, but it still has the feeling of being meaningful. It could be amazing live!

Classic!

What do you guys think?

Who wants to hear Weezer perform LitA live?

Project Info:
So why did I create this blog?  To document my Weezer Song Project.  Over the next year, I am going to attempt to listen to every...EVERY Weezer song recorded.  All the album tracks and b-sides will be easy, but there are some unreleased songs that may or not be accessible.  Hopefully, the search (and destroy) will be fun to follow.  At the moment, the list has 214 songs!  My list includes You Gave Your Love to me Softly, Longtime SunshineTurn Me Round, Getting Up and Leaving, Waiting on You, and Back to the Shack.  We learned early this year that a new Weezer record is on the way and we got to hear Back to the Shack twice on the Weezer Cruise II.

So here is the master list from Karl et al. on Weezerpedia!
I will soon publish my Google Doc Spreadsheet, which will document my progress.
Here is my Spotify playlist.

PLW Rater!  It's not quite Leonard Maltin, but it will work.
1 - Go get a beer...It's still a Weezer song, but it's a good time to rent a beer
2 - Head Bobber...The song causes at least moderate movement
3 - Rock it out...Banging of the head and the arm is in the air \m/
4 - Undone...No choice but to jump around
